How We Upgraded New Energy Production Lines with Beckhoff PC-Based Control
Many new energy manufacturers face common pain points: outdated discrete control systems, slow data transmission, poor system scalability, and frequent production line debugging delays. These issues directly restrict production capacity and product consistency. Is your factory also troubled by rigid, hard-to-upgrade automation systems?
As a reputable authorized Beckhoff distributor, we recently delivered a full automation upgrade project for a large new energy equipment manufacturer, achieving remarkable production optimization with standard Beckhoff core solutions.
The client’s original production line adopted scattered traditional controllers, which could not realize unified scheduling of motion control, data acquisition and quality detection. We replaced the entire control system with Beckhoff PC-based control architecture, matching embedded industrial PCs and modular EtherCAT I/O terminals. Relying on the open TwinCAT software platform, we integrated equipment operation monitoring, real-time data analysis and automatic error correction functions into one unified system.
After the upgrade, the production line’s response speed increased by 35%, equipment downtime was greatly reduced, and the system supported flexible switching of multiple product models without secondary development. Thanks to Beckhoff’s highly open and scalable design, the reserved system interfaces also reserve sufficient expansion space for the client’s subsequent intelligent transformation and capacity expansion.
The biggest highlight of this case is breaking the industry’s fixed thinking that “new energy automation requires customized closed systems”. Standard Beckhoff products, with professional tailored debugging and scheme optimization by our team, perfectly meet high-precision and high-stability production requirements.
